BECOME A CRAFT & DRAFT VIRTUAL MARKET VENDOR
Craft & Draft Virtual Market general information & rules and regulations
Craft & Draft is going virtual! While we will miss our favorite grassy field of Glencoe Mansion, we’re creating the Craft & Draft Virtual Market for crafters & makers to showcase & sell their amazing goods, while also encouraging our community to shop local & handmade - all from the comfort of home!
Craft & Draft specializes in showcasing a variety of handcrafted indie, modern, and unique artisans, crafters, and makers. All art, crafts, and goods MUST be handmade by you. We are looking for handmade items only and artisans who are innovative, create independent designs, and quality finished products. We do not accept mass produced or commercially made items (such as kit made items). With the transition of moving virtual, we have limited our event to twenty (20) vendors. C&D may limit the amount of vendors with like products and decline applications.
The event will take place between October 22 - October 25 over a variety of online platforms. Please click HERE to find out more about how C&DVM will work!
All artisans must have an online presence and selling platform: it is encouraged that vendors have selling platforms like Etsy, Square Marketplace, website, etc. It is also encouraged that artisans use high quality photographs & are comfortable using social media outlets. Both before and during the event, we ask that all vendors self promote & help promote the event/fellow vendors - the more we share, the more traffic we'll all get! Please use #CraftandDraft2020
Applications must be submitted no later than October 9th; accepted artisans will be contacted on October 10th.
Vendor fee $15 (plus $1 for credit card payments). Vendors will be contacted on October 10th for payment. Vendor fees go towards helping host this website & for advertising both in Radford and on social media.
How does Craft & Draft Virtual Market work?
Craft & Draft is an annual event in Radford, VA and our group wants to keep the magic alive! MountainTrotter Arts (the non-profit that organizes Craft & Draft) has created a multi-fold approach to hosting an online market:
1. Customers visit CraftAndDraftVA.com (right here!) where they can browse and discover a variety of artisans, crafters, and makers. Each artist will be represented with a photograph, title (your business name), description, "Shop Now" (linked to your selling platform), and social media links.
2. Craft & Draft will be advertised locally (Radford, VA) and on social media. Our team sends out press releases, news articles, and email blasts while also finding unique advertising opportunities around town. We also utilize our social media to advertise the market and will be showcasing each vendor on social media (facebook, instagram) as well!
3. With the help of you, the vendor! Help spread the word by using the hashtag #CraftAndDraft2020 on your social media posts! Talk up the event, post frequently, and get your customer base excited! Feel free to tag fellow vendors as well - the more we spread the word, the more it will benefit us all!
Vendors are responsible for customer interactions (just like how we would do in person!), sales (managing your website or selling platform) and shipping (many local artists set up free pick ups to skip the shipping!). We encourage you to use social media often, both before and during the event - use #CraftAndDraft2020 to get the word out!

Is there anything I'm NOT allowed to sell?
There are very few things you may NOT sell at C&DVM. We decided as a committee a few years ago to politely ask that vendors do not sell the following:
1. Political affiliated items (Anything directly related to current politics)
2. Religious items
3. Copyrighted or copied items
Applications with any of these items will be rejected; Vendors will be asked to remove these items.
